A missing split does not stop somebody being scored. They keep their position and their finish time. Only the split column is blank.
Check
Open the reads screen and look for that number at the split point. If there are no reads there, the mat missed them.
Fix
Type the split in. It is the same as any other crossing: the number, the point name, and the time. See Typing a time in.
The point name has to match the one on the box card exactly, or it will match nothing.
If the split is missing for everybody
The mat is the problem. Read The box is connected but nothing is coming through.
If the split is later than the finish
That box's clock is wrong, not the runner. Read Everybody's time is out by the same amount.
