Correct the box, not the times. Every read keeps exactly what the box recorded. The correction is applied when the results are worked out, so it can be changed or removed and everything recalculates.
Work out the number
Read the wrong clock, then a right one. The difference is what you enter.
Plus if the box was slow. A box reading 09:58 when the time was 10:00 gets 2:00.
Enter it

Do not reach for Set all clocks from PC... instead. That is for a box with no GPS. A box takes its time from GPS, and setting it from the PC overwrites that, so on a box with a fix it makes things worse. Correcting the box here changes nothing on the box at all.
Either h:mm:ss or a plain number of seconds. Blank or zero removes it.
It belongs to the box
Not to the timing point. Two boxes can cover one line and only one of them may be wrong, and a box moved to another mat is still wrong by the same amount.
Check it worked
Score again. The corrected mat's times should now sit sensibly against your other mats. If a runner still reaches halfway after they finished, you have corrected the wrong box or the wrong way round.
It reaches the website too
The correction is sent to the timing server, so the published results are worked out the same way. Let it send before you pack up, or the site will publish times you know are wrong.
